MEET CASSIUS

The Origin Story You Didn't Ask For

I discovered Muhammad Ali backwards.

Most people know the fights. The trash talk. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." I knew the poetry first. The philosophy. The man who said he was the greatest so many times that the universe had no choice but to agree.

Here's the context: I was an ADHD kid in California whose parents had never heard of the Louisville Lip. My family is from Daboi—a small town outside Baroda in Gujarat. First person in my entire lineage born in America. No cultural inheritance of Ali. Zero.

But someone gave me a book of his poetry.

And that book taught me something the self-help aisle never could: you become what you repeatedly tell yourself you are. Ali didn't wait for permission to be great. He just started saying it. Then he proved it. Then he said it again.

The civil rights work came next. The conviction—literally, he went to prison for refusing the draft. The absolute refusal to let America or anyone else define him.

That's not confidence. That's clarity.

I picked up boxing years later. Not to fight anyone. To think. There's something meditative about hitting a bag—just you and your breath and the obstacle in front of you. Very stoic, actually. Marcus Aurelius would've approved.

Ali's mindset helped me reconcile being an awkward first-generation kid who didn't fit in India or America. It taught me the uncomfortable truth: you don't need permission to be proud of who you are. You just start being it.

Now here's the embarrassing part.

Growing up, I'd hear rappers drop "Cassius Clay" in verses. Money bars. Flex lyrics. But I was a dumb kid who didn't connect the dots.

I thought they were saying "Cash is Clay."

Because rappers always talk about money, right? Cash is clay. Money you can mold. Made total sense to twelve-year-old me.

It took years before I realized: same sounds, different meanings. Both true.

Cassius Clay—the man who became something greater than his given name. Cash is clay—money is just raw material until you shape it into something real.

When I started this studio, the name wasn't a branding exercise. It was already there. A tribute to the poet who taught me to fight. A reminder that revenue doesn't mean anything until you build something worth buying.

Why not today?

PHILOSOPHY

Why instructional design + PMM = magic

The old way doesn't work

Most developer content is either too technical (loses the business buyer) or too marketing-y (loses the developer). The result? Content that impresses no one and converts no one.

Enterprise deals die because developers can't articulate value to executives, and marketing content doesn't give them the ammunition they need.

Our approach is different

We apply instructional design principles to sales enablement. Every piece of content is designed to transfer knowledge effectively—from your product to the developer, from the developer to their boss.

Combined with enterprise PM experience, we know exactly what objections will come up and how to preemptively address them.
